26/27 Travel Team Rosters
Thank you SYHA families for participating in the 26/27 Travel Team Placements and congratulations to all the players on their respective accomplishments! We appreciate all your support in the continued success of our program here at Siouxland Youth Hockey Association.
This year’s evaluations followed SYHA’s Tryout and Team Placement Policy adopted by the Board. Three evaluators observed every session, documented player performance, discussed every roster extensively, and made recommendations based on what players demonstrated throughout the tryout process. Previous team placement, friendships, parent requests, or opinions were not factors in these decisions.
Players were evaluated on far more than just goals and points. Skating ability, edge work, puck control, passing, shooting, hockey sense, vision, complete level, decision making, overall team play, and coachability were all factors. Our evaluators spent countless hours at the rink discussing each roster and ultimately placed players where they will have the greatest opportunity to develop.
We look forward to the 26/27 hockey season!
