IP House League is a new program offered by SYHA starting the 2016-2017 hockey season and is for players aged 9-12. This program is a recreational hockey program that places an emphasis on having fun and enjoying the game of hockey while teaching players the skills necessary to play the game. Players in this program will have three ice sessions each week, two weekday sessions and one on the weekend. The season begins with players working on skating and hockey fundamentals. Skaters will be assigned to league teams and a regular schedule of games will be played maintaining a 3:1 practice to game ratio. Once games begin players will typically practice twice a week and play a game on the weekend. The season ends with a Year-End House League Tournament.
