New USA Hockey Coaching Requirements

By Admin 08/08/2017, 2:00pm CDT

USA Hockey has updated some of the requirements necessary to coach for this upcoming season.  Starting with the 2017-18 season, coaches will have to complete the age-specific coaching education module pertinent to the age group they are coaching prior to participating in any team activities. In previous seasons, coaches had until Dec. 31 to complete the age specific module(s).

Please see the linked article from USA Hockey.

All coaches, Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches, need to register for the 2017-18 hockey season.  We use this information to form email lists, contact info, and to track coaching certifications, so please be sure to provide the information requested at the link below.

Coaching resources can be found at the Coaching Corner section of this website, including information on how to become a volunteer assistant and how to register with USA Hockey.  Other resources like practice plans, links to videos, and a wealth of other information can be found at the Coaches Corner section of the website so please check it out.

A big change this season is that USA Hockey is now requiring coaches to complete their online age-specific coaching module PRIOR TO participating in any team activity.  Please get registered with USA Hockey and get your coaching module and other requirements completed as soon as possible.

Thank you to all our coaches and we look forward to another great hockey season.
