The 2017-18 USA Hockey Officials seminar will be held on September 17th(Sunday) at the IBP Ice Center. It will start at 8:00 am and will be completed by 3:00 pm. Lunch will be served.
The clinic will be mainly classroom type activities and discussion, but will also include an hour of on-ice demonstration and drills.
All participants will need to bring your rule-book, open-book test, a pencil and your attention span. You will also need your skates, helmet and whistle for the required on-ice session.
Level 2 closed-book testing will be administered during the clinic.
This clinic will serve as the required USAH clinic mandated before every official starts the season.

Local Official Advances to Select USA Hockey Referee Camp
Past SYHA & Metro player and current USA Hockey Official, Cody Clark has been selected to attend the week long USA Hockey High-Performance Referee Camp held in Buffalo, New York.
Cody joined the Officials Development Program (ODP) in 2014 and has since embarked on a schedule working games in the MHSHL, NAHL, NA3 and ACHA.
He has worked several USA Hockey National Tournaments including the 2016 Woman’s and the 2017 men’s Tier 2 U18 tournaments; drawing assignments in both of the Championship games. He has also worked the last three MHSHL Varsity Tournaments; again seeing duty in all three of the championship contests.
Cody played nine years in the SYHA program and three more as a Metro. He started officiating as a peewee player. He is a graduate of Wayne State College and has a degree in Sport Management.
