Regular Meeting 5:45 PM Meeting brought to order: Mark Morehead Present: Pam Colwell, Mark Johnson, Deb Logsdon, Mark Morehead, Gary Bennier, Brian Thiele, Scott Newman, Dan Rose, Brooke Schultz, Gary Bennier, Troy Hedlund. Absent: Pattie Hauswald, Cory Schlotfeldt, John Ward. Votes: SYHA Board January 2007 Meeting: VOTE: Deb Menzenberg elected to serve on the SYHA board, for the term-ending 2008. Interim Activity: Board approved Lisa Johnson as SYHA registrar. Minutes: Minutes was not available for approval. Treasurer’s Report: Treasurer’s Report was approved. Motion, Deb Logsdon; Second, Troy Hedlund; approved. Chairperson’s Reports: Operations – Mark Morehead Musketeer Relations: Mark Morehead •1/27 was Youth Hockey Nite – Tykes at the Musketeer game went very well. Coaches/Player Development – Mark Morehead Clinics and Camps: •There has been limited participation in some of the hockey camps. •Discussion was held re: ice usage for camps. House League – Gary Bennier Travel Teams: Deb Logsdon/Troy Hedlund •Bantam situation: double rostering of Bantam age bracket is still an issue. We need to re-evaluate options for this group for next season. Finance/Fundraising – Mark Johnson Greens: Deb Logsdon Greens sales for the season are complete. Hockey Day: Open discussion was held re: “total day of hockey” idea for future planning. Administration: League Reps: •Tri-State: Mark Morehead •Midwest •High School Old Business: •There are two open positions for the board currently. •Deb Menzenberg will fill the 2008-ending term. New Business: •Discussion was held re: potential opportunity for SYHA to purchase a spare zamboni from the city. Nothing will be done at this time. Communication Committee: High School: Dan Rose -- Various ideas for security at high school hockey games discussed and tabled for the time.
