SYHA Board August 2006 Meeting:
VOTE: Acquisition of credit card imprinter for registration processing:
For the 2006-2007 season, SYHA will acquire a credit card imprinter to
process registrations and fees.
Approved: Motion, Deb Logsdon; second Gary Bennier; passed.
Interim Activity:
Concerns were addressed re: the requirement of skater registration to be
paid in full prior to any skater beginning the season.
Treasurer’s Report: Treasurer’s Report approved:
Motion: Deb Logsdon. Second: Gary Bennier.
The fee structures for the season are posted on the web site.
Arrangements have been made to accept credit card payments for the
2006-2007 season.
Discussion was had and a vote taken: re: the acquisition of a credit
card imprinter for registration and fees processing: Motion passed.
Chairperson’s Reports:
Operations – Mark Morehead
Registrar: Forms for registration are at the printer. We will need
volunteers to manage the registration tables Sep 27th and 29th.
Coaches/Player Development – Mark Morehead:
Coaches Selection: Coaching staff is in place for the 2006-2007 season.
A coaches meeting was held on August 13th.
Coaches Education: Coaches will be required to wear helmets this season.
I.P. /A.C.E. Coordinator: Jeff Gray will be attending clinics coming up.
Clinics and Camps: The executive committee will review clinic schedules,
ice times, and plans.
House League -- Mark Morehead
• Coordinators: Lisa Johnson will be coordinator for Pee Wees.
• Referees: John Ward: Referees are set for the season.
• Equipment and Jerseys: Gary Bennier/Eric Carlson: Mite jerseys will be
similar to our House League jerseys, available through Sportsman’s.
Travel Teams: Duane Hoffmeyer/Deb Logsdon
Finance/Fundraising – Mark Johnson
Greens: Material for greens is ready to go.
Pancake Day: Date is set for January 27th.
Novelties: Discussion was had re: having coordinators for novelties at
each level to increase accessibility to items.
Golf Tournament: Golf tournament is set for August 26th. Plans are
coming together, can still use some additional pin prizes and hole
sponsors.
Administration:
League Reps:
Tri State: Tri state is week of 8/21.
Midwest: Meeting week of 8/21.
High School: League meeting is set for Sept. 9th in Des Moines.
Metros: Dan Rose
We are expecting approximately 40 skaters in the high school program
this year, a large number for the program.
